WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

Being an intern is an exhilarating experience. You are saying goodbye to those high school summer jobs working at your local mall and getting your first taste of what it is like to work in the real world! It is so easy to get swept away with your intern responsibilities and the excitement of being in a new job, that sometimes it is easy to forget that how you dress really says something about who you are. Not only will dressing stylishly and business appropriate make you feel great, but your bosses will take notice of how you present yourself!

I spotted this Fashionista while I was on a lunch break for my own internship and instantly loved how she dressed for her job. Obviously, interning means that you have to put your cut-offs and crop tops to the side for a more appropriate look. This Fashionista did just that, but in a cool way that made a business casual outfit look trendy and chic. By pairing a simple shift dress with some cool black leather sandals and simple jewelry, she looks put together and like she is ready to handle any job you give her!

Wearing a printed dress to work can sometimes be a tricky thing to pull off, but this dress is in muted tones and the print is subtle enough not to draw attention in a negative way. The dress has a high neckline but on the back of the dress there is a surprise by having a keyhole cutout that does not reveal too much. Wearing something like this is a great way to keep your work outfits youthful, but still office appropriate.

One Simple Change: Even though college students usually hold internships in the summer, you can also intern in the colder months. This dress can easily transition from hot weather to cold weather by throwing on some black tights, black booties and a black infinity scarf!
