WHAT TO WEAR: Girl's Night Out

Since summer is coming to an end, and we are oh-so-lucky to live close to the beautiful city of Chicago, why not take your girls and go spend a day in the city? Of course, you want to look fabulous, as well, because you never know who you’re going to run into in the windy city!

Jean jackets? Why not bleach-washed chambray pants, instead? These are perfect for walking around the city, being comfortable and still looking good while doing it. The wash of this pant makes this Fashionista’s outfit stand out from the rest, and tying a burgundy cardigan around her waist or neck to add a burst of color is a safe bet in a city with such bipolar weather! Also, adding a striped crop top shows off more of the pant while still adding a more unique look to this outfit combination. Putting these three pieces together gives her entire look a more casual-chic vibe, which is perfect combination for any outing.

Although I am in love with this Fashionista’s entire ensemble, my favorite element of her outfit would have to be her open-toed, caged booties. Even though these shoes are just one color, black, the look of them completely pulls together all of the colors and patterns of this outfit. In my opinion, a one-tone show is always the best way to go while tying together an outfit. Yet, she went a step further and added a small heel, which I love!

This Fashionista has created the perfect attire for a day in the city with her ladies. To achieve a casual-chic look like hers, find a chambray pant of any kind and tie your favorite cardigan around your waist. Then, grab a stripped crop top and pull the entire outfit together with a simple, yet standout shoe.

One Simple Change: If you want to look amazing for class but don’t want to walk around campus in booties, I would go with a gladiator sandal to still get the “caged look” affect! Also, I would put the sweater on to tone down the look just the perfect amount.
