WHAT TO WEAR: Errands

Summer is the time to let loose and unwind, and it is especially cherished as a student. I love to have crazy summer adventures, but I also appreciate a day spent relaxing outside. This week as I was relaxing at Starbucks (no surprise there) before work I spotted a Fashionista running errands while looking flawlessly chic. I have definitely felt the temptation to throw on a pair of running shorts and a T-shirt when I just need to run a few errands; however, this Fashionista shows us how to look flawless and put together for a simple day out.

This Fashionista started off with a simple cotton skater dress. The basics trend can be seen everywhere this summer. The most popular choice seems to be basic cotton dresses in a variety of silhouette styles. Personally, I can’t get enough of this trend! Basic sundresses are not only a fun summer piece, but they are comfortable and can be dressed up or down. I love having dresses that I can easily throw on and know will be perfect for almost any activity!

Simple and chic are two words that I would use to describe this Fashionista’s accessories! She paired her dress with a pair of tan leather sandals with metal detailing. This combination keeps the outfit casual while adding the perfect touch of shine. Her brown leather cross-body bag seamlessly tied in the tan from her sandals to create a put together look. Finally, her hair clip served the dual purpose of removing stray hairs from her face while adding a touch of sparkle.

One Simple Change: A few changes can easily be made to this look to take it from a day of errands to the perfect date night ensemble. First, add a kimono with a fun print to give the look layers. Second, select your favorite layering necklaces to add delicate details. Lastly, opt for a simple heel or an edgy ankle bootie. The best part about this look is all of the options that come along with it!
