WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

June 17th, 2016 at 2:00am

Deciding what to wear on a date can be super stressful! It usually takes me an hour or more to find an outfit that I feel comfortable enough in. You don’t want to show too much skin, but you want to be able to show off some of your hard work at the gym. Wearing a dress makes everything a lot easier because you don’t have to match a top with a pair of bottoms. With summer heating up, it is always nice to choose a dress that is light and airy, so you aren’t worried about sweating through an outfit and being embarrassed to lift your arms up. Strapless dresses can hide sweat stains, but they are a pain to keep up, and no one wants to be seen hiking up a dress every couple of minutes.

This maxi dress is an excellent solution for all your worries! It is sweet and tasteful, but it shows off a flirty side with the open back. The combination of the lace and the pattern make it seem summery without it being over the top in color. It is a great price and a worthwhile purchase because you could wear it again to another event. It can be dressed down like it is here, but it could also be dressed up for a more formal event.  In the photos, this Fashionista has paired the dress with a large, bold necklace for some instant sparkle. This draws attention around her pretty neckline and provides an excellent statement piece to the outfit. The ensemble is also paired with some silver shoes, that are flat and comfy, but look very put together and sophisticated. These shoes make you appear dressed up, but give you comfort and relieve you of the pain of high wedges.

One Simple Change: Nights can get cooler after the sun goes down even in the summer, and it is always necessary to bring a jacket to slip on if it gets chilly. This jean jacket is already pictured in my photos. Jean jackets are one staple to your wardrobe that will never go out of style. By putting on a jean jacket, you can keep the outfit still looking casual but put together.
