WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

More often than not, at least for me, I tend to resort to a simple romper or even jean shorts for date night in the summer. For some reason, I feel too relaxed that I just carry that feeling to dinner. But this Fashionista has found a way for even the laziest to look cute and feel relaxed at the same time.

One or two (or three) cute maxi dresses are definitely something to invest in for the summer. While the basic style is the same across the board, the patterns are endless. There’s bound to be something that fits your style, for date night and more.

This Fashionista chose a darker pattern—a bold yet effective move for the summer. She paired the dark colors with a flattering shade of purple lipstick, another bold move. Her pearl earrings and the braid in her hair tie the whole look together. This Fashionista was actually heading to an outdoor event, so she smartly chose simple gold sandals to wear.

Some believe that only tall people can pull off maxi dresses, but I think it’s the complete opposite. Maxi dresses have a way of making a short person look taller, and I think they are very flattering for all body types.

One Simple Change: It’s so easy to throw on a maxi dress after a long day in the sun and sand, and it’s perfectly comfortable for covering up a sunburn! A maxi dress is the complete cover-up that can be worn on the beach and then onto the boardwalk for dinner.
