WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

Summer is a time to let loose and enjoy the hot sun, friends and most of all, great music. From outdoor country music festivals to a local bands playing at your favorite coffee shops, music brings all types of people together and makes the summer fly by.

Over time, I have noticed that concerts are turning into catwalks. Attendees are stepping up their style and taking advantage of trying to capture their favorite celebrity looks. Coachella music festival in California draws attention from not only passionate music goers but also fashion lovers. Fashion bloggers and magazines analyzed the looks from Coachella and even clothing companies created specific outfit lines for this event.

Lollapalooza music festival was healed in downtown Chicago last weekend and took over every inch of the city. Lollapalooza brings in concert-goers and bands from all over the world to unite for three days of non-stop music, parties and of course, Red Bulls. Being my fashion crazed self, I sat outside the festival with my camera and flower handbag in hand and searched for Fashionistas and common fashion trends.

One thing I noticed is that boho is everywhere! Everything from fringe crop tops, floral sundresses, flowed pants, round sunglasses, flower headbands and most of all, body paint and flash tattoos are making an appearance. Some other trends included fanny packs, sun hats, backward baseball hats and everyone’s favorite tennis shoe, Converse.

The Fashionista was spotted while strutting her stuff to the entrance of the concert with her friends. Her look was unique and edgy and was one of my favorite looks from the day. The red crop top and mustard shorts she chose to combine work perfectly! She also added a pinch of boho in her gray necklace with pairs with her gray combat boots. I adore the mixture of edgy and boho. This Fasionista stood out from the crowd.

One Simple Change: This look could easily be transformed into a girl’s night out look. If you take away the boots and add a pair of gray pumps, this creates a flirtier look. Also, throw a while blazer over your shoulders and add a touch of red lipstick to spice up this concert look.
