WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

March 4th, 2015 at 2:00am

This winter, cozy sweaters, heavy jackets and snow boots are must-haves at Marist. The weather is so cold that dressing up for class seems almost impossible. We never know when the next snowstorm will hit, so it is best to be prepared for the worst.

This Fashionista shows that it is best to layer up in the cold weather. As a college student, it is essential to layer up in order to stay comfortable wherever you are. Whether in the classroom, dorm, library or dining hall, layers make sure that the temperature will always be right for you. This Fashionista wears her light blue sweater with metallic threads in order to keep warm. She layered her navy blue jacket on top. The jacket will be sure to keep her warm as she walks to class in the snow and windy weather. The color of the jacket goes nicely with the color of the sweater. Her light-wash jeans also accent the colors of the sweater and jeans perfectly. Although this outfit is simple, it will be sure to keep her warm while still looking stylish and trendy.

In order to add a little more warmth and style to her ensemble, she wore gray leg warmers. Just like her sweater, they also have metallic threads. Timberlands have been becoming more popular on campus. Although they are mostly seen on men, women have been starting to pick up on the Timberland trend. They keep your feet warm during cold weather and don’t get ruined or wet in the snow as easily as other boots.

This Fashionista is sure to stay warm while walking around campus this winter!

One Simple Change: To make this outfit more suitable for a night out with friends, switch out the light-wash jeans for a pair of leather leggings. Change out the Timberlands for a pair of wedges. This outfit will be comfortable and cute for a night out with the girls!
