WHAT TO WEAR: Class

Summer is always thought of as the season where people make dreams come true. It is the time for beach days, late night drives, tropical drinks and no responsibility. However, if you are a college student, this dream season is quickly diminished to yet another semester and those late night drives turn into late night cramming sessions. The only tan you have is from the harsh fluorescent lighting in the library, and you pretend that your third cup of Starbucks is your third piña colada.

It is easy to get swept up in the stress of class and forget about our fashion for a little bit. The key to maintaining a fashionable wardrobe for class is to keep it functional and comfortable (I know you’re contemplating grabbing those sweatpants while getting dressed in the morning). This Fashionisto schools us on the fashion game and shows us how to stay comfortable enough for the library and good looking enough for some surprise photo shoots. Tennis shoes and jogger pants have never looked so good, am I right? As I always say, this look stays refined by sticking with a neutral palette. The Fashionisto breaks up his black and white top and shoes with khaki jogger jeans that flatter him perfectly. The short sleeve button-up keeps him cool and the tennis shoes are perfect for those times you are literally running late to class because you stayed up all night studying…or watching Netflix. To finish it off, he is wearing a simple black backpack to store all his belongings in without taking away from his look.

One Simple Change:  If you need to jump from class to an interview for your dream internship, keep the shirt but ditch the shoes and joggers. Instead, rock the button-up with some slacks and dress shoes for an updated business casual look.
