WHAT TO WEAR: Class

March 3rd, 2015 at 2:00am

With all that college has to offer, we sometimes forget our real reason for being here—to go to class and get good grades. While wearing pajama pants and a sweatshirt is always a tempting option for an 8:00 a.m. class and often the only clean thing in your closet, some days it is important to put on some real pants and seize the day. This may be easier said than done in the sub-zero temperatures we are experiencing in good old Michigan, but who says you can’t be stylish and warm simultaneously?

Now it is time to take some notes on how this Fashionista made staying warm look good. At the base of her outfit is a quality pair of dark wash jeans. Chances are we all have at least one decent pair of jeans in the back of our closets. They may be buried deep underneath an array of sweatpants and leggings, but they are down there, ready to be taken out of retirement. Even making the oh so simple transition from leggings to jeans can help you feel more confident on the sidewalks of your campus.

The focal point of this Fashionista’s outfit has to be the frilly, lace embellished tunic. This neutral-colored statement was giving off some serious spring vibes and made me crave warm weather even more than I already did. She paired the tunic with a thick cable knit cardigan that without a doubt kept her warm while sitting through an early morning lecture. To accessorize her look, she added some mixed metal jewelry and a comfy scarf.

One Simple Change: Take this look from lecture to date night ready by throwing a on slip underneath the tunic and replacing jeans and boots for tights and flats. You will surely impress your date while still staying casual and comfortable.
