Sunday brunch is an afternoon event New Yorkers look forward to every week. It’s my favorite part of the week, and a great day to unwind before the work week kicks off on Monday morning. Besides getting to eat amazing food, I love Sunday brunch because I get to see so many great outfits as everyone dresses up for brunch in the city.
I spotted this Fashionista at The Coffee Shop in New York City this past week. I think this outfit is rad, because it is casual and trendy. While some brunch places are fancy, The Coffee Shop is more casual, so this outfit totally fit the vibe of the restaurant.
A popular trend right now is tying a small scarf or bandanna around your neck, as shown in this Fashionista’s look. On this particular day it was 100 degrees outside, so the black crop top, denim shorts and black ankle boots were perfect for staying cool in the summer heat. This Fashionista was running to Staples after brunch to print out her portfolio; the backpack she chose to pair with her look was a great choice, because she had so many things to carry with her. This New York City girl shows us how easy it can be to put together a stylish outfit, even if you’re on the go and battling the summer heat.
One Simple Change: After a long day of running around the city, it’s possible that this Fashionista would have wanted to grab a drink with some friends in the evening for happy hour. To take this look from day to night, this Fashionista could put some black wedges and dark wash skinny jeans in her backpack to change into before hitting the town with her best friends.
