WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

If there is any food that is trendy at the moment, it definitely is brunch. Brunching has basically become a part of many 20-somethings lifestyles. So if brunching itself is trendy, you have to look the part, too. Todayโ€™s Fashionista is wearing the perfect brunch outfit that could even outshine a Snapchat picture of her avocado toast and latte art.

Dresses for brunch are quintessential, especially colorful ones. Todayโ€™s Fashionista is wearing a green Lilly Pulitzer strapless dress with a white and pink floral pattern (here is a similar one). Lilly Pulitzer is known for their colorful selection of dresses and having at least one of Lillyโ€™s classically colorful dresses has become somewhat of a staple in every southern girlโ€™s brunch wardrobe. To pair with her colorful dress, she wore a simple pair of gold and brown sandals.

Lately, the monochromatic, neutral-colored looks have taken over the fashion scene, but I love todayโ€™s Fashionistaโ€™s bold colors and pattern. Itโ€™s refreshing to see, as not only is she is a good example of how to wear color without it being overwhelming, but also the cut of her dress is classic and feminine. Iโ€™m all for oversized this and that, but going back to the basics of feminine style is a nice change.

Next time you go out for brunch with your friends, stand out from the crowd and go for a colorful sundress that is sure to make you look as happy as the yummy food will make you feel.
