WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

August 3rd, 2015 at 2:00am

Generally, I prolong the painful process of getting out of bed in the morning for as long as possible—but the promise of a syrup-drenched stack of pancakes makes it the better. This past Sunday morning, during my weekend getaway to Madison, I ventured out to State Street’s Sunroom Cafe in quest for that perfect stack of flapjacks.

Also on her way to brunch was this Fashionista, sporting a blue romper. Her look focused around an adorable blue and white printed romper that popped against her tan skin (of which I am oh, so jealous). Navy straps tied the romper into a racer-back and also cinched it at the waist. To finish off the look, she had on a pair of of black leather sandals and sparkly silver accessories.

Her ensemble is perfect for brunch because of its ease and simplicity. A romper is quick and easy to slip into and then head out the door. And let’s face it, who wants to deal with anymore fuss in the morning? Plus, the royal blue is fresh and poppy for a summer morning.

Take inspiration from this Fashionista’s killer brunch attire and spirited persona, stop dreading the routine rise and grind. Get up for the opportunity to see the sunrise and gab with friends over a cup of coffee or Florentine omelet (it you’ve never had one, you’re missing out). We all deserve a little more brunch in our lives.

One Simple Change: This look can seamlessly be transitioned from brunch to afternoon class. Start with your flirty blue and white romper, slide into a pair of leather sandals and throw on a chunky cardigan to stay warm and comfortable.
