WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

Sex and the City taught us many things about love, friendships, fashion and most importantly, brunch. That it is a one of a kind meal involving detailed debreifings on who did what all weekend and bottomless mimosas. Now, with everyone posting basically everything on Instagram, you can’t be caught dead at this fabulous meal without an equally fabulous outfit.

I caught up with this Fashionisto on his way to brunch with his besties in the perfect chic yet casual Sunday brunch outfit. He kept it simple, sticking to a color palette of navy and white with leather brown accents, which made for a perfect look for the occasion. He decided to throw it back to the ’90s, borrowing a classic light blue and white striped button-up from his dad’s closet (something I know we all do, considering our parent’s old clothes that they deem embarrassing are quickly becoming cool again). He paired the button-up with a pair of navy blue, J.Crew shorts that hit just above the knee. When it came to the accessories, he chose brown instead of black. He slipped on a pair of Sperry Top-Siders, which are perfect for walking around the city streets in, and he slid on a stunning classic watch with gold accents. And, of course no Fashionisto’s Sunday brunch look would be complete without a pair of sunglasses to help hide the proof of your weekend shenanigans that you may carry in your face.

This weekend, don’t just roll out of bed and over to brunch, as tempting as it may be. Follow in this Fashionisto’s footsteps to achieve the perfect put together look that will have all of your friends dying to Instagram you. And come on, if you don’t Insta it did it even happen, right?

One Simple Change: All of your friends decide they want to hit the pool after your fabulous summer meal? No Problem! Just switch out your shorts with a pair of swim trunks and you will be good to go while still maintaining your perfect look!
