WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

Brunch is simply fabulous. What college student, or anyone for that matter, doesn’t love the freedom of eating breakfast food at 1:00 p.m. coffee dates is magical. Nothing is quite better than enjoying a delicious latte with good company. These weekend activities give you the perfect opportunity to show off your casual fashion style.

This Fashionista is rocking a lot of summer trends including ripped white jeans, fringe booties and a topknot. It is past Memorial Day and the weather is heating up, this means it is time to lighten up. You can finally wear the beloved white pants you have been dying to whip out. The approach to the ripped jean trend is to let the edgy pants be the focal point by pairing them with a simple top. The pastel shirt is a perfect soft, yet colorful addition to the neutral outfit which gives the ensemble a casual, yet sophisticated look.

Fringe boots go great with many outfits, but my favorite way to wear them is with skinny jeans and a casual tank, plaid shirt, or an Aztec-inspired cardigan. The accent of fringe is so versatile it takes clothes from a music festival style to office wear. Fringe can sometimes look too costume-like, so making sure to pair it with something modern, like white jeans, is the way to go. These boots have a touch of Western styling that pairs perfectly with the distress of the jeans.

To top this trendy outfit off this Fashionista is rocking a half up mini topknot. This hairstyle has been all the rage ever sense Whitney Port stepped out at New York fashion week with it. The topknot is always a great way to change things up, especially when your mop just doesn’t want to corporate. It works with messy, straight or curly hair for an effortlessly chic look.

One Simple Change: To make the outfit’s transition from day to night, just switch out the fringe booties to a strappy heel. Changing the shoes dresses up the whole outfit to go out to dinner or celebrate the weekend with some friends.
