WHAT TO WEAR: Back to School

Jumping right back into things after a long break can be hard for anyone. When heading back to school, having thousands of things to do and attending meetings is nearly impossible to escape. Whether it’s meeting a group for class project, going to an event for your sorority or simply meeting up with friends for coffee, meetings may begin to consume your life. And although you don’t have to be “interview ready,” you probably don’t want to show up in sweats and a messy bun either! So what should one wear to these inevitable (and possibly daily) meetings?

This Fashionista’s go-to outfit is not only the perfect amount of casual, but it is also incredibly stylish! She has thrown on lightweight pink sweater from Nordstrom Rack, which is an ideal choice when it’s tricky to predict the weather (which we all know is just shy of impossible in Indiana). Pairing this light pink knit with her favorite pair of jeans allows her to pull off a super cute look with little effort. This sweater/jean duo looks great for anyone she may be meeting, whether it is her classmates, a professor or her gal pals!

My favorite thing about this Fashionista’s outfit is her adorable booties! They have just enough heel to give her a slightly more dressed up look. The cuff roll and bootie combination is a personal favorite of mine, and I think it is a great look for almost any occasion! Her Nordstrom Rack necklace and tan shoulder bag are the perfect accents to her ensemble.

Coming back to school and getting back into the swing of things isn’t always easy. And although meetings may add to your stress and make your week feel busy and hectic, this Fashionista’s tips on what to wear should you feel at ease. So the next time you’re scrambling around trying to decide what to wear, just take a deep breath and throw on your favorite jean and bootie combo. Trust me, looking and feeling put together will make your crazy schedule feel less insane!

One Simple Change: Swap this Fashionista’s purse for a backpack and necklace for a scarf and you have the perfect outfit for class! Wearing this will definitely get you off on the right foot for starting back up with classes.
