Ten Spring Must-Haves For Under $100

April 1st, 2015 at 2:00am

Spring is the air! With the warming temps and blooming flowers, this is usually the time where I find myself saying, “I love everyone” and “I hate everything I own.” While getting rid of all my worldly possessions may be a little overdramatic (and slightly unrealistic), I have found that making a few key purchases each season keeps both my spirits and bank account in the positive.

Here are the 10 things I am purchasing these spring. Even better—they are all under $100!

1. Miss Selfridge Black Culotte Jumpsuit ($95)

I may or may not own enough jumpsuits to make me the fourth member of Charlie’s Angels. But this one is black, easy to dress up or down…and culottes, making it totally different and a justified purchase in my book. “Good morning, Charlie” indeed.

2. Warby Parker Nash Glasses in Crystal ($95)

These glasses have me seeing clearly—literally. Plus, I like playing a fun game I invented that has strangers guessing, “Does she work in fashion or a science lab?”

3. Rifle Paper Co. “Life Is Beautiful” Card Set ($16)

Back in the day before emails, hashtags and tweets, people sent each other actual letters. Weird right? I love sending “just because” handwritten notes to my friends and family. Rifle Paper Co. makes my absolute favorite stationary.

4. adidas Leopard Stan Smiths ($75)

I’m a bit of a sneakerhead and love the recent revival of the adidas Stan Smiths. The updated version with the leopard heel patch are my weekend go-to kicks. Throw them on with a pair of distressed denim and a white T-shirt and I am good to go…to brunch.

Sneakers

5. Zhuu Wink Punch ($37.50)

Anytime you combine two of my favorite things into one item, you can consider yourself “purchased.” This accessory merges my love for pouches with my obsession with emojis. Plus, I can’t wink (true story) so it assists me in that area as well.

6. Cynthia Rowley Censored T-shirt ($95)

Much to my mother’s dismay, I have somewhat of a “cursing problem” and often need to censor myself. Good thing this T-shirt does the job for me—and with floral beading nonetheless! So…YEAH!

7. Jules Smith Stud Earring Set ($50)

I recently got my ears repierced so I have been reintroducing earrings into my life. My personal earring style consists of wearing mismatched studs. This set of six earrings lends itself to hundreds of combinations, so I will never get bored.

8. Brixton Wesley Fedora in Burnt Orange ($52)

Springtime to me means iced Americanos, tulips and hat season! The perfect wide-brimmed fedora is the key to my heart. I love the coral/orange color of this one by Brixton. It is a pop of color that can still feel rather neutral.

Hat

9. Sol Sana Racen Heel ($99)

If I am not wearing sneakers (see Stan Smiths above), then I am wearing heels. These strappy sandals are my day-to-night go-tos. I love wearing them with anything from boyfriend jeans to gauzy frocks to jumpsuits (once again, see above). Plus the blush color is divine.

10. tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Elite ($24)

“My name is Melissa Levin and I have a tarte LipSurgence addiction.” Seriously, I own this moisturizing lip stain in every color it comes in—it is that good. Elite is this juicy coral color that just sings, “Hello springtime!”
