The Only Three Boot Styles You Need To Successfully (and Stylishly) Survive Winter

Winter weather presents us with two options: hibernate or adapt. While the idea of spending three months napping does sound appealing, that option will most likely result in getting kicked out of school, bedsores and/or needing to get caught up on way too much Kardashian gossip.

In order to combat winter, it is important to be prepared. Luckily, with only three pairs of boots you can still fashionably leave your house to go to class, hang out with your friends and generally live your life and what not.

Are you prepared for winters arrival? Check to see if you own all three of these must-have styles.

1—Chunky heel leather booties. Stilettos and winter is the fashion equivalent of tuna fish and peanut butter: whatever you do, don’t combine those two things. Opt for a chunky heel for the added height and stability. (Photo via @kaycaden)

2—Over-the-knee flats. A dramatic look that is not only easy to walk in but incredibly warm? Where do I sign up? We love the over-the-knee look with just about anything, from sweaters to dresses to oversized sweaters you try to convince your parents are dresses. (Photo via @maddyschlosser)

3—Duck boots. The snow doesn’t care that you are running late for class, had dinner plans or that you’re in dire need of an almond milk latte. For times like these, it’s important to have some duck boots in your footwear arsenal to show the inclement weather whose boss. (Photo via @sassofstyle)
