STYLE GURU STYLE: Winter Work Wear

If you haven’t seen the pre-fall 2015 Markus Lupfer collection already, you must check it out! Simple but elegant designs make it easy for us Fashionistas to stay cute and professional, which can sometimes be difficult in a business environment or when the weather drops to below freezing. Lupfer uses subtle, yet powerful fabrics to make a statement while you are at work that just might give you an edge to receive the promotion you’ve been hoping for!

As I wait to set off on my journey abroad, I have been interning with Seventeen as a winter web intern. Their office is located in the very, very cold New York City, and business casual is the attire. The cold weather has made it a challenge getting ready every morning but a fun one!

After seeing Markus Lupfer’s collection, I was inspired to try out his looks with my own spin. I wore a striped shift dress paired with a black cardigan and a chunky scarf to keep warm. I added sheer stockings and my favorite bootie-sock combo to keep my legs warm while walking down the city streets.

In many of Lupfers pre-fall 2015 looks, he pair’s his dresses or twosies with a bootie-sock combo. This power combo always gives an outfit the little bit of an edge that it needs, especially if what you are wearing is simple. Besides a bold lipstick, bulky socks are my favorite accessory to spice up my outfit!

I love this look because its practical for those colder months, but still shows off your Fashionista side!
