STYLE GURU STYLE: The Tibi Touch

Designer Amy Smilovic of Tibi describes her brand’s look as “clean, cool and feminine.” Her description is an accurate representation of Tibi’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear line that was released just weeks ago at New York Fashion Week. The crisp colors that floated down the runway left viewers with an icy and arctic wardrobe inspiration. Monochromatic tones decorated the comfy knits that highlighted the line. The earthy color scheme further complemented the lineup’s minimalist feel. Smilovic still ushered in some detail by having the model’s flaunt captivatingly diverse shoes or other accessories.

Today, I found myself thinking a lot like Amy Smilovic. The comfort and relaxed appeal of the fall 2015 line was perfect for a chilly New York day. The plummeting temperatures have been unforgiving lately, and it has definitely played into my wardrobe choices. I found the greatest Tibi inspiration in my fuzzy and neutral colored Alpaca turtleneck knit. The sweater provides optimal warmth on a chilly day. The gray stitching that intermittently lines the fabric subtly complements its ivory color. I paired the sweater with my favorite pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. Finally, I brought my look to life with my pony hair and leopard flats. The slip-on shoes add a startling touch to the otherwise relaxed look. I completed my look with simplistic accessories. An elegant pair of pearl earrings, my favorite watch and a delicate bracelet was just enough to add improvement to my look.

Amy Smilovic undoubtedly knows how to blend comfort with couture. Her minimalist tendencies offer outfit inspiration for chilly days. The feminine nature of her line inspires elegance and style for daily wear.

Get My Look: 1. A luxuriously comfortable turtleneck. 2. Funky slip-on shoes. 3. The best boyfriend jeans.
