STYLE GURU STYLE: The (Not So) Cold Shoulder

Happy September! What is better than starting off the month with a hip new look to add to your fall book? Since the weather is transitioning from the warm summer rays to the cool fall breeze, our wardrobes are ready to brave the change. Although I will be silently crying as I pack away my crocheted crop tops and high-waisted Levi Jeans, I am so excited to pull out the sweaters and booties for this season.

To recreate my look, combine an off-the-shoulder top with a solid color skirt or short and you are set for a sweet day look! If you are looking for an easy transition between day and night, pair the bare shoulder look with ripped jeans for a splash of extra sass. Especially this past summer season, I fell in love with blouses that had an accent of lace because it gives the overall look a layer of simple feminine flair.

The best aspect about an effortless look is that it offers the need to accessorize, so use this as an opportunity to add your favorite essentials. For me, I love layering necklaces that each have their own sparkle and personality. Whenever I travel I try to find an accent piece that I can take home with me and combine with my other jewelry. To add texture, try mixing stones and chains for an edgier tone, or for a subtle look add a simple long necklace. There are so many creative options and combinations to choose from, which is one of the reasons why I embrace the layered necklace trend.
