STYLE GURU STYLE: The Light Jacket

I always go for the effortless look, and I think something essential to achieving that style are minimalistic pieces that have unique qualities about them. This look from the Lacoste spring ready-to-wear collection inspired my outfit this week because it has those qualities. I fell in love with the light rust jacket because it is the perfect transition piece from summer to fall in both material and color. My jacket has the same qualities as the piece in the Lacoste show and I foresee myself wearing it constantly for the next few months.

I wanted to keep the rest of my look simple, like the outfit in the Lacoste show, but I wanted to make it a little more “me”. I paired my light transition jacket with a white loose tank top and a pair of dark wash destroyed denim jeans. To finish the look, I added a pair of cognac booties with a buckle detailing and my everyday jewelry.

Not only does the jacket pair well with a classic denim look, but also like the outfit in the Lacoste show, I think my jacket will add something extra to sporty looks, with sneakers and a baseball cap. It could also make a dressier look more casual because of its flowing cut. This outfit will definitely be my go-to look in September and October as it has my favorite color palette and has a chic, but natural silhouette. Find the perfect light jacket for you to transition into fall and transform your looks into something extra special.
