STYLE GURU STYLE: Sweater Dressed

Do you have a collection that you keep coming back to, time and time again? Well, mine is rag & bone’s spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection. I know, I know, it’s an old collection but the clothes from that season inspire me so much. So, when I found a dress that looks just like a sweater created by my beloved rag & bone at target for only twenty-five dollars, you know your girl had to have it.

Individuality is very important to me, when it comes to my clothes and with anything else in life. Which is why I have a knack for wearing my sweaters backwards. This sweater dress is no different. I think it’s perfect for when you have to go to an event that’s more conservative, you can look professional and have the plunging neckline in the back. It’s like a little secret! I love my spin on the rag & bone sweater better than how you’re suppose to wear it. Breaking the rules can be fun!

Of course, when you wear a dress with a interesting back, it’s important to style your hair so everyone can get a glimpse of your skin. If you’re into updos or are going to a formal event, I think a French twist would look so chic. If you’re more confident rocking your hair down (me!), curl it and bring it over to one side. For major volume, make a deep side pair for an extra dose of drama.

I decided to wear high heels with this dress, but if you have them, a pair of high heeled thigh high boots would look absolutely amazing as well.

Get My Look: 1. A sweater with a plunging neckline 2. A pair of sophisticated heels 3. Side swept hair.
