STYLE GURU STYLE: Staying Warm And Trendy

With classes starting up again, there’s a deep desire to throw on leggings, an oversized crewneck and head out the door. Instead, I’ve gained inspiration from the pre-fall 2016 Rochas Collection. I’ve combined my exceedingly comfortable, fuzzy cardigan with my olive green pants with the influence from the Rochas collection.

Although leggings and a crewneck is much more comfortable than dressing up, I decided to keep it casual, comfortable and warm with my versatile cardigan. I abstained from a detailed necklace, but the detail on my ruffle shirt made sure the outfit wasn’t left a bore. Besides the ruffle detail that my shirt contains, there was also detail added with the pop of color from my olive green pants.

It’s so easy to steer away from a fashionable outfit during the cold, winter months with classes starting early in the morning, but it’s also easy to combine a few simple items that can be just as comfortable and don’t require a lot of jewelry to complete the look. I decided to wear my Madden Girl booties to continue with the comfort, that also bring in detail with the buckle on the sides. And I cannot forget my extremely loved kate spade new york addition to the outfit that adds to the black and white color scheme, keeping the olive green pants my only source of color.

Illinois weather isn’t very inviting and oftentimes, I want to bundle up in oversized clothing, but instead I kept my outfit warm, comfortable and still allowed an oversized cardigan to complete my outfit!
