Lately I have been back and forth with whether or not I like polka-dots. Personally, I am more of a stripes kind of girl. However, lately the polka-dots are starting to rub off on me, especially after stumbling upon the Marc by Marc Jacobs spring 2015 ready-to-wear show. This collection is full of polka-dots and even more polka-dots. The collection, which is more conveniently called MBMJ, includes polka-dot skirts, little polka-dot bandeaus and polka-dot jackets.

Therefore, my outfit was inspired solely by this collection. I paired a high-waisted polka-dot skirt with a plain black long sleeve shirt. The polka-dots are a bold pattern so I didn’t want to over take it with another pattern on top. Therefore, I picked a solid color. Since it is still below freezing out, I added black tights to the outfit to keep a little warmer. Lastly, I finished the outfit with a pair of black flats that never go out of style.

However, no outfit is complete without accessories. So, I added a gold and silver necklace with multiple chains to give this outfit a little more flare and a few gold rings to match. I did a dark purple nail as well because the dark colors always remind me of winter. Lastly, I topped off the outfit with a bright and gorgeous hot pink lipstick to make it more fun.

Get My Look: 1. A comfortable solid black shirt. 2. Trendy high-waisted polka-dot skirt. 3. The perfect hot pink lip.
