STYLE GURU STYLE: Bundling Babe

Turtle necks, overcoats and boots were spotted all over the runway for fall 2015. Specifically Edun displayed these trends throughout the entire collection. Almost every outfit included a turtleneck neckline. Along with turtlenecks and overcoats, Edun presented a lot of leather and color-blocking. The combination of these pieces made a very sophisticated overall look. The collection was sincerely gorgeous and perfect for the fall and winter months.

For my recreation of the trend, I kept in mind the bundling necessary to make it across campus in the cold winter months. It is hard to resist just bundling up in your warmest clothes and making your way to class. If you want to bundle in style, an outfit like this will help you achieve your goal.

I started with my gray ribbed turtleneck and skinny jean. Now I know what your thinking, aren’t skinny jeans out and flare jeans in? You would be correct, but snow and flare jeans will leave you wet and miserable. You need a pant that will tuck into your boots to prevent any uncomfortable damp encounters.

Next I grabbed my Sorel snow boots for the tough snow and layered my raglan overcoat on top of my turtleneck. The turtleneck layered with the overcoat is really featuring the bundling concept in the Edun fall 2015 show. Don’t forget to put on a complementary hat and gloves to keep warm. The combination of these pieces together will result in a fashionable bundle, as I call it.

Get My Look: 1. A ribbed-turtleneck. 2. A fun overcoat. 3. A stellar pair of snow boots. 4. A winter hat.
