Black and white is and always will be a classic look. There are so many different ways to combine the two colors to create a sleek and fashionable look. The key to the appearance though, is finding the right color to make the ensemble really pop. In the rag & bone 2016 resort runway show, they made the black and white pieces pop with a splash of red. In the Max Mara show though, the designers show how any color can be paired with a black and white outfit.
For my look, I chose to go with a hot pink purse and accessories. Another huge look in the Max Mara show is leather. The leather top I am wearing goes perfectly with the black and white patterned shorts and the House of Harlow pendant. Continuing with the black and white look, I opted for a pair of my favorite black wedges. The kate spade hot pink cross-body bag and beaded bracelet add the color I was looking for to finish off the outfit.
This outfit can be achieved in so many ways by changing out the different pieces. Exchange the leather top for a pair of leather shorts or add the black and white with a dress. Not a huge fan of hot pink? Follow in rag & bone’s footsteps and throw on some red lipstick or a pair of red pumps. Pick any color and make your black and white ensemble pop!
