STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: B(l)ack by Popular Demand

Vera Wang sends her Vogue spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection down the runway and inspires all fashion lovers once again. Wang is the ideal dream designer to most females, and this is due to her wedding dresses. Although those collections are nothing short of extravagant, her spring 2017 collection excites the world of fashion. The answer to how she does that: black, black and more black. Wang designed lavish outfits that are lightweight enough for the spring, but complex enough to wow the universe.

Black seems to be a color that resurrects each and every season, especially in the fall. Autumn is the best time to wear black because not only does it complement all the fall colors, it probably expresses your mood as well. The all black trend will have people turning their heads.

The Wang collection inspired me to create a more casual version of this trend. I started off with a base pair of dark blue-black skinny jeggings. Although these have a bit of the blue jean color in them, they are so dark they can pass as black. This also allows for a slight pop of color to lighten the blackness in the outfit. These high-waisted jeggings are paired with an edgy, black crisscross crop top. The top falls perfectly aligned with the bottoms and adds a bit of detail to the outfit with the crisscross V-neck. Any article of clothing that has the crisscross look adds a pop of wow to attract the eye. If you are up to date with fashion, you don’t have to take a second look at the shoes: Steve Madden Ecentrcq! These are the perfect slip on shoes to accent any outfit. All black everything with accent jewelry is the go to look for this fall!
