STYLE GURU STYLE: Back in Black

Hey Fashionistas/os! When is black ever a bad choice? It is not only flattering, but looks sexy, chic and strong. Pairing all black, head to toe is never a bad idea. Sure, it’s nice to play it safe sometimes, but you will be turning heads with this look. I’ve paired staples in my closet to make a bold, fierce look that was almost too easy! This look is classy, yet absolutely stylish and can be worn to so many different occasions.

I took inspiration from my all time favorite designer, Tom Ford. After viewing the Tom Ford fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection, I combined simple pieces to create something bold. Throughout Tom Fords show, sleek, all black looks are shown up and down the runway. Fringe, knee-high boots and intense details make this show polished. These looks are feminine, yet in a hard and daring.

My goal for this look was to stand out and make a statement. We all have pieces in our closet that we normally wouldn’t pair, but give it a try and it could work! My outfit includes a cowl-neck poncho sweater, simple leggings, pointed-toe booties and a flat brim hat from ALDO. To take this look even further, I curled my hair, added a cross-body bag and some sohphisticated sunnies. This look can be transformed from day to night with ease.

The best part about this outfit is this price. This look can be achieved for under $100! Try this show-stopping look without the Tom Ford prices, because we all know that us college students are ballin’ on a budget. This look will make anyone feel and look great, but surely you’ll be standing out of the crowd.

Get My Look: 1. Any cowl-neck sweater. 2. Black booties. 3. Wide-brim hat.
