STYLE GURU STLE: Post-Halloween Vibes

Yours truly definitely took her love for espionage and detective shows/movies to the next level during Halloween. Yes, I dressed up as a detective, with the slacks and dress shirt and (of course) a trench coat. The only thing I was missing was the magnifying glass.

While recovering from my post-Halloween vibes, I decided to keep my trench coat out for a bit. This adorable and stylish coat from Coach is perfect for any fall outing, whether it be a formal affair or just a stroll in the park. To keep all my important IDs and cash on hand and organized, I used my favourite Guess clutch in navy. Its simplistic design and silver detailing allow for it to be paired with any outfit for any occasion.

I paired those with a comfy striped Polo Ralph Lauren T-shirt and Levi’s 311 shaping skinny jeans. The combination may look simple, but it screams comfort and class. It’s perfect for any function, ranging from an outing with friends to a business meeting.

I decided to keep my accessories to a minimum, but I always have my Withings Activité watch on my wrist. Not only does it look like a normal watch, but it also subtly acts as an fitness tracker. Because it’s waterproof, you don’t have to worry about taking it off when you do the dishes or go swimming. Of course, I always have my iPhone with me. Casetify’s new standard case offers maximum protection without sacrificing the fashion factor. The cool thing about this case is that the backplate is interchangeable. Don’t like marble? No problem. Casetify offers many backplates on their website, so changing the theme of your case to match you (or your Instagram feed) is a breeze.

Sho could forget shoes? I decided on a pair of nude pumps. Though this outfit can be polished off with Nikes or some regular flats, I chose nude pumps because I wanted to go for a look that I normally don’t present. I’m a big wearer of Nikes and comfortable clothing items—I’m usually the “comfort over style” type of person—so this outfit was definitely a step out of my comfort zone.

Experimenting with new styles is always fun and eye-opening. Once you find a few that you enjoy, mixing and matching clothes becomes a way easier task. I hope all you Fashionistas had a great Halloween!
