STYLE GURU BIO: Tianna Fougeray

Hey, all you fabulous Fashionistas/os! My name is Tianna Fougeray, and I am a sophomore at Monmouth University. I am majoring in business administration with concentrations in marketing, management and decision sciences, and minoring in information technology. My hopes are to pursue both my passions for fashion and photography with also my love for marketing in my career. Becoming a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this spring semester gives me this amazing opportunity to share my interests, and I could not be more thrilled!

I have always been obsessed with fashion for as long as I can remember. Whether I was putting on extremely embarrassing fashion shows for my family as a kid or playing dress up with my friends, I loved being creative and showing off.

For me, fashion is a way to express myself and feel confident. Just simply putting on an outfit that I feel good in is enough to make me feel invincible. I would like to say that my personal style is fun and bold, but also classy and simple at the same time.

Winter is the time of year for bundling up in a fuzzy coat and adding layers on layers to an outfit. It’s the season that you can look as close to a human burrito as possible, and it’s completely acceptable. I don’t know about you, but I am not about to let the cold weather stop me from flaunting my favorite outfits.

Being a college student, my style has evolved into being cute and chic, but, most importantly, comfy. Having an outfit you’re comfortable in while hustling from class to class throughout the day is a must. Still, you also want to look well put together for yourself and, you know, maybe for cute college boys, too.

In this outfit I am pictured in here, I wanted to demonstrate how as a college student, you can look comfy and fantastic at the same time. A flowing, wool-blend poncho sweater is decadently soft and perfect to throw over a plain white tank or tee. There is nothing that screams comfort more than wearing my favorite pair of traditional black leggings. My go-to winter boots are combat boots because they can be paired with either a casual or dressy outfit and still look great. An outfit is not complete without a pop of color like these boot socks to really make a statement.

I had so much fun telling you about my style and how comfy and cute is definitely possible in cold weather. Check back with me as I discover more fashion trends with you this semester at Monmouth University!
