Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Stephanie Horton, and I am currently a freshman at Northern Arizona University. I am a Special and Elementary Education major, and I plan on declaring a minor in Media Journalism. I am beyond thrilled to be a Style Guru for this upcoming semester because of my long interest in fashion. My campus is filled with all different styles from a diverse group of people, and I plan to capture them all.
I have been interested in fashion ever since I was a little girl. When I think back to my adolescence all I remember is wanting to be a fashion designer or to work in the fashion industry. Unfortunately, that’s not entirely the career path I’m going down. I am fortunate enough to have this opportunity to write for CollegeFashionista and explore my love for fashion some more. I can’t wait to see what opportunities will come out of this internship!
My personal style varies on a day-to-day basis. I find myself not sticking to a certain style. I tend to wear things that I find cute no matter what category they may fall under. My personal favorite is pairing knee high socks and tall boots. Since I now live in a cold place, my style has been able to blossom even more. This year I also told myself I was going to come out of my comfort zone and dress up for class more. I love dressing up, but I find sweatpants and a pair of tennis shoes a lot more appealing than a dress and a pair of boots when it’s freezing cold outside.
As I said before, I am beyond excited to be a Style Guru intern, and I think this will open so many doors for me. I can’t wait to explore and capture all the fun, funky fashion I see around Northern Arizona University’s campus!
