STYLE GURU BIO: Stacy Ki

Hi guys! My name is Stacy Ki and I am currently a sophomore at Babson College. This is my second semester at CollegeFashionista, and I am so ecstatic to be part of the family once again. Once I go back to Boston for the spring semester, I am excited to see the winter fashion of Babson’s students. Since the first day of college, I believe that my fashion inspirations are always changing due to the various outfit looks I see every day. Walking around campus, I see unique pieces thrown together which leaves me in awe. Currently, I am in love with the neutral-colored, minimalistic casual look. By just wearing a turtleneck, skinny jeans and an oversized coat, you look put together and chic.

I learned to appreciate attending school in the east coast because of the number of sweaters I can buy. I think that everyone should own at least four cashmere sweaters. It will change your life. Moreover, sweaters can really warm up an outfit with its wooly and knitted look.

Overall, this outfit is my California’s winter style. Although I love my turtleneck sweaters and thick coats, I knew I would be going overboard for California’s weather. In order to maintain the warm look, I wore my gray cashmere sweater. I love how thin it is, yet it keeps me warm at all times. I love neutral tones, so I topped the sweater with a tan outerwear. The outerwear allowed my outfit to look casual and effortless. In order to lengthen my legs, I paired my outfit with black pointy booties. Rather than rounded-toed booties, I think that pointy booties add more edge to an outfit. To go along with the casual Californian vibe, I did not accessorize too much, but I added a small purse to my outfit.

I am excited to go back to Boston and share with my fellow peers my winter styles. This is going to be a great semester with CollegeFashionista!
