STYLE GURU BIO: Sarah Yaftali

To whomever made the bold and incredibly risky decision to click on my page, I promise you won’t regret it.

Fashion was not something I was brought up to love.  In fact, my parents began conditioning me at an early age. I remember telling my dad as a child that I wanted to become an artist. He very kindly and swiftly brought to my attention that there were only three professions: doctor, lawyer and dentist. Clearly, I made it out of that realm of stifling creativity and landed on this page instead.

Despite my parents chagrin, I have always wanted to do something unusual and creative with my time. I discovered that fashion is one amazing outlet to achieve that.

With my blog, I hope to inspire people to be themselves in every regard and not be some cookie cutter representation of what someone else wants you to be.  It is okay to wear mismatched socks, an oversized shirt that looks a little too oversized, a little skin, color your hair the way you envision a fairy princess’s throw-up to look or anything else your little heart can imagine! Who knows, you might just spark the newest trend.

There you have it: a little about myself, how I inevitably made this page and what I hope to accomplish with it, packaged in a fun-sized 258 word article. It wasn’t so bad, was it? I hope I stayed true to my promise and that you stay with me through this semester-long adventure here!
