STYLE GURU BIO: Oluwakemi Babalola

I am a just a girl from Nigeria who partly grew up in New York, where I currently attend SUNY Oneonta. Growing up in two different parts of the world has made me witness fashion in a different perspective. Not just fashion around the world but the fashion in various parts of a country. I have always been interested in fashion ever since I was a little girl. A little girl who played dress up games, as any other girls would, is now a fashion enthusiast as an adult. Although I love fashion and participate in a lot of fashion activities, I am a mass communications major.

My style depends on my mood, location, and the season. Since I live in two different environments, my style changes and these can be seen whenever I am in the city; I dress more professional. During the spring, winter and fall, I love including a duster coat to my outfit. I usually wear over the knee and ankle boots during the fall and winter which usually collaborate with my duster coat. As seen in my pictures, I have on a Wool Coat from H&M, and FAUX-LEATHER TOTE BAG, and AEO DENIM X4 SKINNY JEAN. I usually keep my style as simple and elegant as possible.

Although I am a fashion enthusiast, I am also a writer and a photographer. The best things about being a writer and a photographer are that I always have something to write about and include a breathing picture by the side. I hope that I can inspire people’s fashion around me through my writing and photography.
