STYLE GURU BIO: Nada Sherdy

Hey everyone! My name is Nada Sherdy, and I’m so excited to be back for another semester with CollegeFashionista. Over the course of this past semester, I have evolved a lot as a person. Everything from my interests, hobbies, dreams and even my sense of style has been shaped and altered.

Sophomore year is tough; some say it’s the time where you really start to develop and establish who you are, as well as who you want to be. Personally, I started surrounding myself with people who shared my passions and immersing myself in clubs and organizations that complemented my love for communications, the arts and, of course, fashion. With the end goal in mind of being a writer/PR mogul, my focus has been narrowed and the only way now is up. This means I’ve been a lot busier than I have been previously, without much time left to get ready in the mornings. However, this doesn’t mean that a fashionable outfit can’t be pulled together in a limited amount of time.

I think monochrome look is timeless and very easy to pull off if you choose the right pieces. Black, in particular, is classic in my opinion and will never go out of style. This outfit is a perfect example of what I would wear if I was in a rush but still needed to look good. I picked very simple pieces: black leggings and a fashionable high side-slit shirt along with minimal gold jewelry. One thing I love doing is including a focal piece in my outfits, an “attention-grabber”, which are the Huaraches. I kept the makeup very simple as well, pairing a bronze glow with a matte lip.

I can’t wait to show you what else I have to offer as well as the dope fashion that Syracuse University students continue to express and flaunt on campus.
