STYLE GURU BIO: Molly Bryant

As the fall semester of my junior year came to an end, I headed home for the holidays and couldn’t help but to feel pretty old. Two and a half years of college down, soon to be 21, and applying for as many internships as I can find. Wow, time is a funny thing.

My twenty years of life have given me so much to be grateful for. I am studying to combine the two things I am most passionate about, writing and fashion, and I have a family support system to help me along the way. I have a hometown that makes leaving difficult, and a school that makes home feel a little closer. I have friends that have been by my side since we started walking and friends who became just as important in only two and half short years.

Just like anyone else, it’s not always easy for me to see past the tough parts and know there’s something better coming; but, I am someone who genuinely believes in a better tomorrow and I know that everything happens for a reason.

As we close the book on another year, I am excited to ring in the New Year with old and new friends and I look forward to experiencing the joys of 2017 as I close out my junior year at Virginia Tech.

I am grateful for another opportunity to show the Fashionistas of Virginia Tech to the country through CollegeFashionista! Be sure to keep up with my blog each month for some fashion inspiration from Blacksburg, Virginia.

For this piece, I decided to wear my go-to high-waisted black skinny jeans, paired with a long-sleeved striped bodysuit with an open back. I layered some of my favorite hand-made turquoise necklaces and threw on some accent rings. To bundle up for the cold, I grabbed my favorite winter coat, plaid blanket scarf, and knit beanie. To top off the look, I chose my strappy black heels for some extra flare.
