Hello everyone! My name is Marissa Sunshine, and I am so excited to be a part of CollegeFashionista this semester. I cannot wait to show you all of my favorite styles and trends from the fashionable people on my campus.
I grew up in sunny South Florida (I know my last name is perfect for this) and I attend the University of Florida. I am currently studying marketing with minors in both retailing and mass communications. When I started college I thought I wanted to go into telecommunications, but when I realized how amazing fashion and retail really are, I quickly changed my major.
I love to travel and explore new cities and cultures. I have traveled to Paris, Barcelona, and Israel, and I have loved them all. This summer I have the most amazing opportunity to study abroad in London and Greece. I definitely consider myself a city girl, and I cannot wait to move to New York City after college. I love the fast-paced atmosphere of NYC and the fashionable people you can see around every corner.
I get a lot of inspiration for my outfits from fashion bloggers and fashion magazines. I love to see what the latest trends are, and how I can make them fit into my daily outfits. I like to dress classy and feminine, but I do like to mix it up every once in a while with leather and velvet. I love fashion because you can truly express who you are through your clothing.
In this outfit I am showing my classy, yet simple style. I feel that a few fun accessories can make any outfit look great. I love this trench vest from Express because it is an easy way to layer up and add a cute pop of color to a plain outfit. The maroon color is easy to match with a lot of your basic items, such as this lace high-neck white tank. Another fun accessory I paired with this outfit is my black floppy hat. This hat is awesome because not only is it stylish, but it protects your face from the sun! Black heeled booties are definitely an item I would suggest buying. These shoes are so easy to throw on with any outfit, and they are comfortable enough to wear out at night. Crossbody bags are definitely my favorite style purse. They are so easy to wear and match with, and you know it will be safe.
