STYLE GURU BIO: Madison Cleveland

Hi, CollegeFashionista readers! I can’t believe it’s already my third semester as a Style Guru; time flies by so fast. I just started the last semester of my junior year at Ohio University. I’m studying strategic communications with a specialization in marketing and retail.

Since the beginning of college and my time as a Style Guru, I love to look back at how much my style has changed. I’ve become more open about trying new trends and brands that suit my personality. One of my favorite places to gain new style inspiration is from fashion bloggers. For some of the bloggers I read, fashion is all they live and breathe. They are always inspiring me with their trendy outfits and Instagram pictures. Some of my favorite bloggers are Cara Van Brocklin, Marissa Kathryn and Lauren Vandiver!

One of my favorite pieces this winter is my faux fur vest from a shop in Asheville, NC.  I’ve seen faux fur in countless stores this season. Here’s a gorgeous vest from Topshop available at Nordstrom right now!  These vests are a necessity in every closet because they are the perfect extra layer of warmth on a chilly day. Some things never change with my style though, and that’s my obsession with pink.

I received my pink Kate Spade purse as a Christmas gift last year.  I haven’t been able to keep it in my closet.  And of course I had to have a pink faux fur keychain to fuel my current obsession.  As I’ve said many times before, a girl can never go wrong with a Kate Spade purse or pink. Unfortunately they’re all sold out of the purse I have, but here’s a pink tote that would be great for the end of winter or spring!

To top my outfit off I wore my favorite Kendra Scott necklace.  I love to pair it with some of my other necklaces because it’s a great layering piece.  Kendra Scott makes this necklace with many different stones and metal finishes.

I’m excited to see what the new year will bring!  I can’t wait to share some of my favorite winter and spring looks with all of you!
