STYLE GURU BIO: Kyndall Arnold

Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Kyndall, you can pronounce it “Ken-dall” or “Kin-dall,” it all sounds the same to me. I am new to the Guru Gang and am heading into my last semester at Northern Arizona University. I will be graduating with a degree in journalism and certificates in public relations and fashion merchandising and hope to be a journalist for a fashion magazine in the near future.

I am fresh off a plane from New York where I spent the last eight weeks working as a counselor at a summer camp. When I wasn’t running around with 12-year-olds, I was scoping out trends worn around camp to take back to the West Coast with me.

I am influenced by anything and everything when it comes to fashion (even my 12-year-old campers). I love keeping up-to-date on current trends and seeing what other people are wearing and how they are wearing it.

I like to think of myself as a fashion chameleon because my style changes so often. One day I could be boho chic, and the next I’m edgy tomboy. I’m a firm believer that accessories make the outfit. I love taking a simple outfit and dressing it up with necklaces, hats, rings and such, which is exactly what I did for this look. I took a plain graphic T-shirt and cutoff shorts and adorned it with a silver statement necklace and black fedora hat. I knotted the shirt to give the outfit a little more flair and wore gladiator sandals for a trendy, girly touch.

I hope this gave you a peek into my mind and a better sense of my style and who I am. Words can’t express how excited I am to begin this fabulous journey with CollegeFashionista and have you all along the ride with me!
