Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Kira Pauley and I am a freshman at the University of Kentucky studying merchandising, apparel and textiles. I was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky and can usually be found at a coffee shop, an antique store or crocheting while hanging with my two cats (can you say grandma status?).
I have the wonderful job of being the assistant buyer at Voce, a local salon and boutique in downtown Lexington. With my job, I get to discover different brands and help many people find the items that allow them to see their natural beauty. I think that’s what I like about fashion and style the most; clothing is not only art but allows people to use the art everyday so they can show who they really are.
My style is a combination of many things. I am still trying to figure out what to call it but I think it always goes back to the basics. As you can see above, I am a huge fan of the jumpsuit. It’s such a comfortable piece, and who doesn’t love a piece so versatile? I chose to throw on my mink fur vest for warmth and for accessories a cute red tote paired with my usual gold ring and sunglasses. These shoes are probably one of the best items I own since they were relatively cheap, comfortable, stylish, and I get many compliments on them.
