Hello, my name is Karleyanna Daudell, and I am a student at Loyola University Chicago where I study public relations and advertising. This is my first semester as a Style Guru, and I am incredibly excited for this fashion journey to begin, learning as much as I can about writing and photography. I cannot wait to explore the latest trends in fashion and discover new ones that I can adopt as my own.
Like any normal person in Chicago, I am prepared to face all types of weather from below zero snow days to the 100 degree humidity filled days. Generally, you’ll find me wearing a pair of high-waisted dark blue jeans, a neutral flowy top, booties, layered necklaces and stackable bracelets. I am a chameleon when it comes to fashion and I’m always willing to try new things. For this outfit, I channeled an edgier look. With winter upon us, it’s all about layering. I chose a plain gray loose long-sleeved top and paired it with a fur vest to dress it up. To make it more feminine, I added a statement necklace and a stackable silver bracelet. Keeping the edgy theme, I wore black leather pants and black booties.
This outfit is guaranteed to keep you warm but stylish at the same time during those colder winter days. I like mixing styles to create the perfect look, and I think that it is easier done in the winter because adding layers can mix in different clothes and accessories.
