STYLE GURU BIO: Erica Gliksman

Hello Fashionistas! I’m Erica Gliksman I am a senior at the University of Central Florida majoring in Human Communication. I am a New Jersey girl exploring the many joys Florida has to offer. When I am not studying you can find me on campus paddle boarding on Lake Claire. Off campus you can find me playing banjolele at open mic night at Natura and in Winter Park.

Fashion has always been a very big interest of mine; InStyle magazine has been my bible since I was 14. I personally believe fashion is a form of art and expression; your personal style helps set you apart from everyone else because it reflects your personality. Life is a runway and I take every chance I get to turn heads with my personal style.

I would describe my style as “boho-chic,” often referring to myself as the “boho hippie queen of the universe.” My wardrobe is full of fun colors and patterns but I primarily live in ivory and turquoise. As you can see in my look the 70s and 80s inspire most of my outfits. I adore my floral bell bottom pants; they are polyester rather then a stretchy fabric which makes them feel more formal then other pairs of hippie pants. I love the pair of a blue Free People lace crop bra with my favorite Free people crochet top! This top is wonderful because you can wear it out and about or as a cover up when you go to the beach! It is one of the most unique pieces in my closet and i love it! I think the headpiece really pulls the whole look together! I love all of these pieces on their own and i love the absolutely adore them together!

This is going to be my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and I am very excited to join the team!
