STYLE GURU BIO: Emma Mosser

I’m so excited to be back for my third semester with CollegeFashionista! This will be my second semester as a Pitt Style Guru, and I’m excited to look for winter outfit inspiration on campus this semester. I was in Texas last spring, so hopefully my new Topshop coat will keep me warm while braving the winter weather to find the best campus Fashionistas.

This is the second semester of my sophomore year, and I’m a Slavic Studies major. I’m learning Russian and Slovak, and hoping to get another Slavic language under my belt, as well. I’m hoping to find a way to tie fashion into my major, but it’s difficult when I have so many different things I want to study. My dream is to someday find the perfect job, combining fashion, writing, law, saving the world and Slavic languages into my dream career. Or, I’ll just move to Russia and take over Russian Vogue. A girl can dream, right?! For now, I’ll continue to sporadically write for my blog, Wannabe Voguer, and do my monthly CollegeFashionista posts.

For 2016, I’m hoping to really define my personal style. I’m into many different styles, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to pinpoint one specific style as my own, but I’ll rather draw on inspiration from many different looks. For this outfit, I wore my favorite grey cropped turtleneck with a printed mini skirt. My platform Topshop booties are definitely my go-to shoes, and I like how the sheer tights add a feminine touch to the boots. An oversized cream colored sweater ties in with the colors on the skirt, and has been keeping me extra warm this winter. Berry colored lipstick is another fall and winter favorite, and I’ve been wearing this color non-stop.

I spent my last CollegeFashionista spring semester in Texas, so I’m excited to see the winter outfits that Pitt students have to offer. Plus, I’m hoping to draw winter outfit inspiration from students on campus. It’s often hard to strike a balance between warmth and style, so I’m hoping I’ll get good ideas on how to stay warm, yet look good when going to class.

Here’s to another great semester of rad outfits and ultra-fashionable students!
