Hello CollegeFashionista readers! My name is Debbie Anthony, and I am a Business Management major and a Communications minor at Christopher Newport University. I’m super excited for my first semester as a Style Guru, and I can’t wait to share some of my favorite styles with you.
My love of fashion started to grow when I discovered beauty gurus on YouTube in eighth grade, but junior year of high school is when I really started to find my own style. Something I love about fashion is that you get to express yourself while feeling beautiful, and with that comes confidence! I also love that you can look cute and be comfortable at the same time, which is my favorite. Unless I am wearing clothes I feel comfortable in, I find it hard to feel confident.
So today for my first blog post, I decided to share with you something that’s very me! This outfit is super cute and comfortable, but it’s warm enough to keep you from freezing on a brisk late fall/early winter day. I am wearing a striped sweater dress from BB Peppers with a thick, cozy sweater from H&M. I paired this outfit with a long, beaded necklace from Forever 21 and brown combat boots from Steve Madden with a pair of sweater socks from the one and only Target! Some of the accessories you can always find me with are my two beautiful rings, silver necklace and pearl earrings. I love having small jewelry I can wear every day! Even though I’m wearing a dress, you could add on a pair of tights and a long jacket to stay extra warm on a cold winter day.
