STYLE GURU BIO: Celia Carbone

Welcome! My name is Celia and I am a freshman studying journalism at Emerson College. I have experience writing for my school and local newspapers in high school, so an internship to publish with CollegeFashionista was just my style!

I actively studied journalism in its various forms throughout high school. My many projects included writing news articles, creating video news segments, producing my high school’s daily morning broadcast, and corresponding with various school officials regarding community events. I assumed the position of Editor-in-Chief of our school newspaper in my senior year, so it is clear to see that one of my passions is storytelling. I cannot wait to be involved with similar organizations this semester at Emerson along with the many opportunities presented by CollegeFashionista!

I have had an interest in fashion since I was young and always treated the school hallway as a runway. Catching up on all of my favorite fashion blogs is part of my daily routine and it is surreal that I will now be an author for one of my best-loved sites. I am inspired by the prospect of being involved in a positive social environment that is authored and read by Fashionistas who share the same drive to pursue a career in fashion and journalism. Living in the Northeast has its perks, despite the inevitable snowstorms in the winter. I experience all four seasons which definitely has a great influence on my wardrobe. I love being able to transition my wardrobe from dresses in the warm seasons to jeans in the colder seasons. Although my favorite season weather-wise is the warm summer, I am most inspired by fall fashion!

In my featured look, I wore my favorite dress of the season: a flowy, light pink dress with a cinched waist, paired with a beige Good Work(s) wrap around bracelet, a couple MantraBands, and my mother-daughter Dogeared necklace. I tossed on my Ray-Bans, zipped up my clutch and was ready for the day!

I am beyond grateful to be interning with CollegeFashionista and cannot wait to read many #RAD articles and share some #StyleGuruLove! Stay Fabulous!
