STYLE GURU BIO: Cassie Sterwald

Hey everyone! My name is Cassie Sterwald and this is my fifth time as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and I’m majoring in Communication. I’m beyond excited to share my love for writing and fashion with you all this semester!

I want you all to get to know me, so here’s a little bit about me and what I like. This NFL season, I was lucky enough to land a marketing internship with the Green Bay Packers, my absolute favorite team. It has been a great experience and I will definitely miss it once the season ends in January. I teach dance to boys and girls between the ages of three and 18 at a dance studio in my hometown. I love working with the kids and sharing my passion for dance with them. I also enjoy reading, writing, taking pictures and blogging in my spare time.

Fashion is one of my biggest passions in life. I love dressing up, creating new outfits and searching for amazing pieces to add to my wardrobe. CollegeFashionista is a great opportunity for me to combine my interest in fashion with my interest in writing, and gain great experience for a future career. I spend about 50 percent of my time in athletic clothes because of being a dance teacher, so I’m always looking for workout clothes that are full of color and let me show off my personality. I absolutely love printed leggings and bright tanks. But when I’m not in my “work” clothes, I am dressing to show my own style. I shop for great individual pieces, like a warm sweater, a sparkly shirt or high-waisted jeans, and mix and match all these pieces in my closet to create new fabulous outfits.

This winter, I’m all about cozy sweaters and blanket scarves. These aren’t only stylish, but they’re necessary in cold Wisconsin. I like sparkly accessories and big statement necklaces because they can easily transform a simple top into something more glamorous. I cannot wait to start seeing the latest spring fashions to start arriving in stores, and to start shopping!

I am so excited to hunt for stylish students all over campus! It’s going to be a fashion-filled semester!
