STYLE GURU BIO: Cameron McCune

Hey Fashionistas! My name is Cameron McCune, and I’m a freshman student at the University of Delaware going into my second semester as a Fashion Merchandising major. It’s my first semester at CollegeFashionista, and I can’t wait to be able to share my style and fashion finds with all of you.

I lived in Linwood, New Jersey, a small town very close to the beach, my entire life. Fashion has always been a huge part of my life. It began when I was as young as I can remember; I always picked out my own clothes and would wear crazy outfits that usually included some type of fur or cheetah print. I was the one who would take my time to pick out my outfit for the next day of school and get up early every morning to do my makeup (I would never be caught walking through the halls in sweats, especially ones that had the name of my school on it). I definitely stood out in the halls of my high school, you could say. I live for searching Pinterest and Instagram for the newest fashion trends and shopping takes up a huge part in my life.

I’d say my style is chic, but also edgy. I love neutral colors like black, white, gray and tan. I love shoes and handbags. I have so many of both that space in my room is becoming a problem. My style icon is Lauren Conrad and I would say my style is similar to hers most of the time. Another style icon of mine is Rebecca Minkoff and I hope one day I can get the chance to intern for or even work for her. I live for her handbags and designs. I follow the Jenners avidly, because I love their outfits and I get a lot of inspiration from the things that they wear.

Studying abroad in Australia has always been a huge dream of mine and I hope to be able to accomplish this within my next four years of college. I am currently on vacation in London right now with my family for the holidays, while I am writing this article. This is my first time overseas in Europe and I am loving every second of it—except the rain—but during my ten days here I hope to get some awesome pictures of fashion icons on the streets. One day I also hope to visit places such as Shanghai, Paris, Rome and Florence.

In this post: I am wearing a Burberry Fringe 100 percent Cashmere Scarf, a Via Spiga Wool Coat, my white converse and my favorite piece is my tan Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack.

Now that I told you all a little about me, I can’t wait to share with you what trends I come across on my campus and even around the world!
