Hello Fashionistas/Fashionistos! My full name is Amanda, but I prefer to be called Mandy. This is my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am currently a senior at Muhlenberg College studying media and communications and sociology. I believe that fashion and beauty have always been important parts of my life. I am consistently keeping up with trends via Instagram as well as magazines. You can also find me looking up fashion or beauty related YouTube videos in my free time or as a study break. College can sometimes be really stressful so it is nice to have a breather every once in a while.
Fashion and beauty have always been creative outlets for me to express myself. Whenever I go on the website of my favorite stores, I automatically get excited and happy to see the new products and trends that are coming out. Retail therapy is a real thing for us fashion and beauty lovers!
This look displayed in these images is my version of a holiday party outfit. Since it is the season for Christmas, New Years and Hanukkah parties, this look is very relevant. I feel as though you can never go wrong with a sparkly or metallic party dress this season. Winter is always a great time of year to throw in a little sparkle! Since the weather is a bit chilly, I paired my dress with a tan wool coat and plaid shawl to keep warm. I also accessorized this outfit by adding a pair of my nude Vince Camuto heels, rose and gold chokers, and my Louis Vuitton Speedy 30.
I feel like this outfit is the perfect hint of glam without being too over the top. It is a perfect ensemble for either a family party or going out setting. However, this outfit could also be appropriate for many other occasions as well. I look forward to sharing more fashion and beauty related articles with you throughout the semester!
