Hello, all! My name is Alex-Marie Baez, a Style Guru who is representing Texas Tech University. Guns Up!
I study psychology, forensic sciences and American Sign Language. Recently, I find myself heavily involved in the Deaf Community. It was during my sophomore year of college that I became passionate about working with the Deaf Community. That is why I intend to pursue a law degree and become a certified court room interpreter.
But enough about school.
During the summer, I typically spend my time writing, reading and catching up with my friends from my hometown. You see, I go to school in Texas but my true home is back in the Sunshine State of Florida. With that in mind, I intend on spending this summer at the beach on the hunt for unique and trendy looks. It’s hard to stay cool in the Florida heat and humidity, but I’m determined to find some Fashionistas and Fashionistos who make the blistering sun and warm sand seem glamorous!
When it comes to my own style, I like to keep it affordable. I am a college student after all. Affordable is always trendy and I like to add my own touch to most of the popular trends I wear. When it comes to my makeup style, I like to keep it simple on most days. I usually go out makeup-free. If it’s a day at the office, I bring some life to my look with a bold lip color. I always save my dramatic eye looks for nights out with the girls, but I can never repeat a look since I’m always experimenting.
I intend on keeping it real, interesting and creative. I know I will find some inspiration this summer on my newest adventure as a Style Guru!
