STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Uptown Funk

July 6th, 2015 at 2:00am

Happy Monday everyone! What better way to start your week than by putting on a trendy outfit and going for a walk with your best friend? So grab your pup, head downtown and strut your stuff.

This week’s Fashionista is not just giving one piece of style advice for the week, but two. Let’s start with the first one. What’s comfy, trendy, and patterned all over? These funky pants! I’m thrilled these pants are in style because they are so easy to throw on and are laid back. These pants are a mixed pattern that complements the airy and chic chiffon fabrication. Every girl should own a pair of funky pants because they complement all body types and make you look fabulous with little effort. With a crazy pattern like that, the simple cotton baby doll shirt is the perfect touch.

Funky pants? Check. Simple top? Check. A real live accessory? Check! This Fashionista’s second style advice is to add your furry friend when walking around town. It might be a little annoying to stop at every tree along the way but it gets people noticing you. Other people will think what a cute dog,” then they will think “wow I’m so glad I looked in the direction of this beautiful, awesome, stunning, well dressed woman.” Dogs are great fashion accessories—just ask Elle Woods!

To complete this outfit, this Fashionista added a few more accessories. Her choice of earrings were simple pearls. To hold all her essentials such as a phone, a wallet and doggy treats, she added a brown suede bag with a fringe zipper. Her necklace is a pink stone, wrapped in gold wiring. It is a very simple necklace with a hippie vibe. She also added a ring with three triangular shaped stones embedded on one gold band. On the same hand was a gold cuff bracelet with a cream colored diamond shaped stone in the middle. Her sandals were simple white flats with gold circles as the accent. Finally, on her foot was a gold festival themed flash tattoo.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My advice would be to not sacrifice comfort for style. These pants are so easy and laid back I could wear them all day long.”
